Welcome back to the BPS Newsletter!

Arbiter 617 here filling in for the March Newsletter, which is actually about February… but is released in March…

Progress & Updates

Songs of War [Minecraft Animation Series]

Songs of War is our upcoming original animation series, complete with story, characters, dialog, and lore. The entire world (not just the sets needed for the animation) is being built from scratch by myself and an awesome team of builders! Currently, we are nearly finished all the builds needed for the animation, are relatively far into character design, and have finished writing the story for all three seasons. Now we just have to script it, cast, animate, and render! :O

Here is an interesting render I made for the series, which unfortunately isn’t part of the actual story (the character never holds those two swords.)

Survival Games (Part 2) [Minecraft Animation]

The Hunger Games style minigame series began last month, and Part 2 is expected to be out around the middle of March. Nitrox is hoping to have one released every month.

Medusa [Halo Machinima]

Medusa is still in progress to all the Halo machinima fans out there! Fortunately the recent Halo 5 update allows us to film on Forge Maps finally, so there shouldn’t be any more major setbacks.

PROJECT: Containment [Halo Machinima]

The finale to the Middleground trilogy continues, and capturing is nearing completion. No more info at this time.

New Team Member

We also have a new team member who joined BPS and released the Elytra animation last week! We’ll be creating a separate news article with much more info about this in a few days- we felt it deserved its own post.

Community Spotlight

There haven’t been many posts in the creation thread, be sure to post your work you want to share so we may feature it! Instead, this month we’d like to feature an awesome Minecraft machinima/animation hybrid which the creator put a lot of work into and deserves more attention!

A final reminder- don’t be shy to post discussion in the forums! We enjoy reading and responding to our fans!

Keep an eye on our Twitters for more updates. Until then, see you next month!
