Greetings! Welcome to the February 2016 BPS Newsletter.
As we don’t have much to update on, I’ll keep this brief. Apologies for the delay also. We were all pretty busy with other commitments, but nonetheless, here we go!
Progress & Updates
Songs of War [Minecraft Animation Series]
Finally we can provide updates on the status of BPS’s next big series “Songs of War”!
The story is nearly all mapped out, with three seasons planned, each with 10 episodes. Production is well under way with sets being built by a team of nearly 30 people on a private server with another team of 10 working on skin designs.
Here’s a pretty snapshot of one of the river-side villages we have in Ardonia, the world in Songs of War:

Survival Games (Part 1) [Minecraft Animation]
This series created by RoA Nitrox is based on the Hypixel minigame “Blitz Survival Games” created with a similar style to that of Skywars, one of our previous Minecraft animations. The first part to Survival Games should be released in mid-February depending on how long it takes to render out once Nitrox has finished animating it.
PROJECT: Containment
Yet again, progress is slow as University takes a toll once more. Capturing is still underway and editing should begin soon. I plan to use this weekend as a big catch-up so I should get things moving eventually.
Medusa
Unfortunately, there is nothing to report on this series. I believe there are still issues with Halo 5 making it difficult to create any machinima, and thus progress has been halted.
Spartan Arena (Halo 5 Machinima)
Thomas is currently forging the sets for Spartan Arena on Halo 5. In anyone wishes to help him with set design, feel free to add him on Xbox One with a message stating you would like to assist him.

Machinima Cone Competition
Thank you to everyone who submitted an entry in the competition!
We were overwhelmed by the amount of people that entered, and are grateful for your participation.
At the moment, the majority of BPS and a few members of the community are watching all entries and judging them independently to avoid any infleunced ratings from other people. We will then discuss our favourites and decide on the top three.
All entries will also be put into a playlist on Youtube for them to be viewed by everyone.
Winners of the competition will be announced on February 7th.
Community Spotlight
This month’s spotlight goes to An Epic Tomato for his machinima The Victim. I thought this was an interesting piece with great moments of tension throughout. A well executed Halo Reach machinima with high-quality voice acting too!

Worthy Forum Mention
If some of you reading this have been around for a while, you might remember someone known as Kyler45 of Black Shard Productions.
Well he’s the server admin for our Songs of War world and has created a forum post featuring a guide for the builders on the server.
Be sure to check it out here.
Please be sure to leave feedback in the comments below on what else I could include in these Newsletters. I hope you enjoy what we have instore over the next few months. Yet again, I leave you with a question:
What kind of content would you like BPS to make?
Cheerio chaps,
– Sam
