*drum roll*
Hello everyone! Welcome to the first BPS Newsletter. I’m your host Sam and- yeah let’s not go down that route.
These newsletters (written by yours truly) will feature all BPS related news and updates, along with any content we feel deserves a feature and all big upcoming events. So let’s get started, shall we?
Website nearly live!
After many months of tiresome development, the website will be going LIVE on December 5th. Please offer your thanks to the man behind the website-developer mask, Mack Nelson, otherwise known as Cipher. Along with the help of both Arby and I, he has put together this sweet site for you, the fans!
“Mack! Where are you?!”

Recap: November 2015
I’ve decided to recap the biggest BPS content from the previous month in case any of you missed it. If you DID miss it, what are you doing? Stop reading this, go watch it.
Anyway, for you Halo machinima fans, the first installment of Medusa was released: Powers of Arcane. Be sure to jump straight into the heart of the Medusa universe!
For those of you who enjoy Minecraft animations, Arbiter recently posted his latest smash-hit, Skywars! This video focuses on a very popular gamemode on the Hypixel server where players are put in teams of two and fight to the death with their fellow competitors. An exciting ride with comedy and tension throughout. Definitely worth a watch.
Progress & Updates
PROJECT Containment
Body acting is so close to completion, only a few difficult scenes left to film. I’ve captured around 20% of the footage, but I’m so busy with other things right now. I’ll get back on that horse soon enough, don’t worry. I just had a bunch of lines sent in so I’m currently fangirling over their impressive talents.
Medusa: The Seven
If things go according to plan, we could very well see the next Medusa installment release this month, only a few weeks after Powers of Arcane. Two machinimas? It must be Christmas.
BattleSim
Nitrox plans to create another combat demo to better represent the quality of BattleSim which sounds awesome. Believe me, the quality in every area has been improved dramatically and their ever-growing team is VERY hard at work to make it as good as it can be.
Next month we’ll have a lot more exciting things to announce on this website as we’ll possibly be holding a halo machinima competition. This will hopefully be one of many more in the future.
Upcoming Events
There aren’t any big events happening any time soon, unfortunately, although we do have a few planned for the future. For things like body acting sessions and game nights, check out the Calender.
Worthy Mention
As this is the first newsletter, of hopefully many to come, the most relevent thing to mention has to be the:
This thread on the forums does exactly as it says on the tin. Be sure to create a topic saying a little bit about yourself for others to see.
Community Spotlight
As the website just went live, we have nothing to spotlight yet. Be sure to post your best creations that you want to share in the appropriate forum section and we might spotlight it in the January newsletter.
As this is the first Newsletter, we’re still open to suggestions on what to include in them. So be sure to post any ideas as a reply to this post! Or don’t, that’s cool.
And as a personal thing from me, thank you very much for registering on this site. It really helps us out by keeping the community active. We’re all very hard at work on our projects and can’t wait to share them with you!
Cheerio chaps,
– Sam
I think it’s great that BPS has a website now. I love your content and self employment for something you’re passionate about is something I admire. I am really looking forward to what you do next.
Thank you! Any suggestions on what else to include in this Newsletter?
Maybe whenever something new comes into the store you could mention it in the newsletter, and maybe if there’s a really interesting forum conversation going on, you could mention it and give a link? Obviously both of these aren’t that applicable now because the website just went live, but it could be helpful in the future. Another thing might be if you want to get information from your viewers – maybe for ideas for content, as this community could provide a very large pool of ideas – like in a survey or in the forums, you could link them to wherever you are asking for that information.
The idea of featuring a popular thread will feature in the future newsletters, as there were no threads to feature in this one haha. Store updates is a good idea too, thanks for the suggestions!
I would also discuss any upcoming changes to the site. Admittedly the site is still young, so there probably aren’t going to be any for a while, but this would be a good way to tell people if and when they are imminent.
Along with the Newsletters, any big announcements like changes to the site will have their own News post, but thanks for the suggestion!
I would consider linking to any recruitment threads for content that the BPS likes, for example each month you could have a “spotlight” showing a number one pick by admins from the recruitment thread.
